The Opportunity:Liebherr Australia is seeking a Systems Engineer to be responsible for researching, developing, designing, and validating mechanical, electrical and hydraulic hardware for use in autonomous haulage systems. Reporting to the Manager – Autonomous Haulage System (AHS) Development, you will be responsible to ensure products developed meet the required cost targets, technical specifications and that services provided are completed within the project timelines. Responsibilities include:Undertakes mechanical design activities and services that delivers product reliability, functionality and cost requirementsEffective engagement with internal stakeholders to manage and mitigate risk relevant to the AHS designProvide Systems Engineering guidance, advice and support to internal and external customersConduct effective field testing, trials and analysis on designed systemsRepresent the team at development partner and customer meetingsAssist the AHS project team with other duties as required.You’ll be great in this role because:You understand the whole system and see the big picture beyond its elements, sub-systems, assemblies, and components. You evaluate the interconnections and mutual influences among system elements of a technical, social, or multi-level nature. But still can derive the synergy of a system from the very integration of the subsystems under their responsibility and understand the system from multiple perspectives. You have a track record of thinking creatively and able to offer workable innovative original solutions and transform a creative concept into a realisable idea.
