A bit about the team
Our wider engineering team is structured into "pods" - each aligned to support a specific set of customers, enabling us to really get to learn our clients' systems inside out, allowing us to diagnose and solve problems quickly and win the day! Our growing team needs an additional Tier 1Systems Engineerto do the following:
General support services
- Provide dedicated onsite IT Support Services for a primary location for a key Lancom customer - ensuring all 'walk ups' are appropriately captured within our ticketing system
- Review, diagnose, manage and close all assigned tickets within SLA
- Escalate issues when and as necessary
- Answer inbound support calls and log tickets into our Helpdesk system
- Support Windows Workloads for either on-premises and also cloud systems for remote customers
Grow by assisting other Engineers
- Analyse tickets & find key problems to investigate & resolve root causes
- Provide general site improvements to reduce reactive tickets (scripts, forms, upgrades)
- In turn, you'll be mentored and supported to fast track your career development with exciting new cloud technologies
What you'll need to be successful:
- A passion for Information Technology and a proven history of solving people's computer problems
- Clear and confident verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to translate technical speak into simple English and back again
- An excellent understanding of the fundamentals of good customer service
- Ability to pick up new technologies quickly
- Attention to detail and results oriented
- A first-rate degree (all disciplines considered)
