Anglo American Steelmaking Coal
Steelmaking coal is an essential ingredient in blast-furnace steel manufacture, producing steel used for critical building and infrastructure around the world. In Australia, we operate five steelmaking coal mines in Queensland's Bowen Basin, and have additional joint venture interests in steelmaking coal and manganese, as well as copper exploration projects underway in North West Queensland and Western Australia.
Job Description
A new position has been created in the Talent Acquisition team for a Talent Acquisition Projects Specialist based in Brisbane.
Reporting to the TA Superintendent and working closely with TA Team Leaders, the TA Projects Specialist is responsible managing a range of TA projects including continuous improvement, bulk recruitment and strategic sourcing projects to address specific operational challenges.
Key duties:
  • Under direction of TA Superintendent, deliver business improvement initiatives against project plan
  • Design, facilitate and execute bulk recruitment campaigns which may include international sourcing, diversity campaigns and / or assessment centres
  • Use data analytics to predict future talent needs, then develop and maintain talent pools to adequately address those needs
  • Contribute to strategic workforce planning efforts to understand how buy strategies contribute to overall talent management framework
  • Identify opportunities through data, reporting and / or engagement with site stakeholders to identify opportunities for centralised, proactive sourcing initiatives to be implemented
  • Undertake proactive sourcing for difficult to fill roles
  • Develop tailored proactive sourcing strategies using a variety of platforms and methods including LinkedIn, Alumni networks, Employee Referral Programs and Anglo Talent Communities
  • Collaborate with Communications team to contribute to employer branding strategies
Qualifications
  • 5+ years' experience in end to end internal recruitment or agency recruitment
  • Demonstrated experience designing and delivering bulk recruitment campaigns
  • Demonstrated experience delivering continuous improvement projects and / or implementing change
  • Expert knowledge and demonstrated experience in designing and successfully executing proactive sourcing for difficult to fill roles
  • Demonstrable knowledge of recruitment and selection techniques and requirements, selection guidelines and legislation regarding employment practices
  • Good understanding of the mining industry and industry trends
