Responsibilities:
- Design and Planning:
- Collaborate with senior landscape architects and urban planners to develop innovative and aesthetically pleasing landscape designs.
- Contribute to the planning and development of public spaces, parks, and recreational areas within the council.
- Project Management:
- Assist in the management of landscape projects from concept to completion, ensuring compliance with local regulations and standards.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and external stakeholders to achieve project goals.
- Site Analysis:
- Assist with site analysis and assessments to inform design decisions and address environmental considerations.
- Utilize GIS and other tools to gather relevant data for project planning.
- Bachelor's degree in Landscape Architecture from a recognized institution.
- Strong knowledge of landscape design principles, horticulture, and environmental sustainability.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, GIS, Adobe Creative Suite, and other relevant design software.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- A passion for creating inclusive and sustainable public spaces.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team and independently when required.
- A commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
