- Clerk Grade 7/8, Salary ($106,025 - $117,363 pa), plus employer's contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading

Your role
Manage, direct and roster the work of a team providing direct appropriate care and custody of young people appearing at various courts and the safety of staff during movements of young people.
- Manage a strong, cohesive team responsible for efficient and effective movements of young people and court supervision across the Sydney metropolitan, and Central Coast/Hunter areas, including coordination of the daily roster, equitable distribution of work and ensuring the ongoing development and performance of staff.
- Supervise the operational court logistics at relevant Children's Courts - Campbelltown, Parramatta, Surry Hills, St Mary's, Kariong, and Broadmeadow, visit other court locations as required to supervise staff and liaise with centre staff regarding advice and information on movements of young people, security issues, and occupational health and safety.
What you'll do
- Build and manage a strong, cohesive team responsible for efficient and effective detainee movements and court supervision across the Sydney metropolitan area, including coordination of the daily roster, equitable distribution of work and ensuring the ongoing development and performance of staff.
- Supervise the operational court logistics at relevant Children's Courts, visit other court locations as required to supervise staff and liaise with centre staff regarding advice and information on detainee movements, security issues, and occupational health and safety.
- Provide timely information on available resources to assist with critical incident management.
- Undertake a range of administrative requirements including maintaining systems and report writing.
- Conduct regular inventory of all equipment across court and vehicle locations and ensure expedient repair/replacement, including checking and maintenance of vehicle fleet, safety and protective equipment, handcuff and instruments of restraint register in compliance with the Prohibited Weapons Act.
- Review, implement and train staff on Standard Operating Procedures for Court Logistics and Emergency Response procedures.
- Manage and coordinate data entered into CIMS, ensuring the quality and integrity of the information entered.
- On a rotating basis with the Court Supervisor Parramatta, provide supervision of Parramatta Court and other staff attending Parramatta over an extended day period from 7am to 5pm
What we're looking for
- Possession of, or enrolled in a ‘Provide First Aid' Certificate (HLTAID003)
- A current Driver's licence.
- Current NSW Working with Children Check clearance
Appointments are subject to reference checks. Some roles may also require the following checks/ clearances:
- National Criminal History Record Check in accordance with the Disability Inclusion Act 2014
- Working with Children Check clearance in accordance with the Child Protection (Working with Children) Act 2012
