Together, the team create dashboards, reports, performs data modelling, analysis, and forecasting, to transform data into meaningful information that supports business decisions.Level 3 – Data Officer

  • Use business intelligence software packages for collating, analysing and presenting information using Microsoft Excel, Power BI and SQL.
  • Apply your well-developed conceptual and analytical skills, to problem solve potential challenges.
Level 5 – Data Analyst
  • Use business intelligence software packages for collating, analysing and presenting information using Microsoft Excel, Power BI and SQL.
  • Apply your data modelling experience with to identify trends, patterns, and insights from data.
  • Prepare reports on data findings and recommendations.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders.
Level 6 – Senior Data Analyst
  • Develop complex and comprehensive datasets for collating, analysing and presenting information using business intelligence software packages such as SQL, Power BI, and Microsoft Excel.
  • Produce insightful and actionable reporting and data visualisations using Power BI and DAX.
  • Plan and manage projects to meet organisational outcomes.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders to effectively describe problems and findings, and present insights to various audiences (technical and non-technical) using visualisation tools.
Information about the Talent Register
  • This Talent Register is an online portal that allows you to register your interest for short term contract opportunities (up to twelve (12) months) at the Department of Communities, in a range of key positions across the Financial Analysis team or the wider Business Services division.
