The role:
- Perform routine maintenance repairs and minor alterations to equipment (non-trade functions).
- In close consultation with the TasEquip - Team Leader for day-to-day operations, determine appropriate courses of action and priority setting.
- Provide effective and efficient cleaning of assets in accordance with Agency policies and guidelines.
- Follow infection control procedures including but not limited to:
- Separating clean and soiled assets.
- Cleaning and tidying facilities before assets are removed from area.
- Following manufacturer’s instructions for cleaning and maintenance of assets in conjunction with Agency policies and guidelines.
- Ensure cleaning and repair equipment is stored, used and maintained according to Agency policies and guidelines, including reporting faults to enable corrective action to be undertaken.

Details of Appointment:
Permanent, part time, day worker position working 38 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.
*notwithstanding hours may be negotiated with the successful applicant

Location: Launceston, Tasmania
Salary: $58,184 to $59,580 per annum, pro rata. Our Employer 11% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

Applicants should note the following criteria are desirable:
- Completion of Certificate III in Asset Maintenance (Cleaning Operations) or similar and/or previous cleaning experience preferably within a healthcare environment
- Completion of Certificate III in a mechanical repair, welding or similar and/or previous repair/maintenance experience, preferably within a healthcare equipment
- Current Driver’s Licence
The Head of the State Service has determined that the person nominated for this job is to satisfy a pre‑employment check before taking up the appointment, on promotion or transfer. The following checks are to be conducted:
