Our Tax & Legal Risk & Quality team is responsible for the provision and delivery of comprehensive, up-to-date, and innovative risk and quality advice across a diverse range of issues. We aim to protect and enhance the PwC brand by making quality, risk management and compliance as simple and sustainable as possible, blending technical skills and strategy to advise our internal functions and teams with spectacular results. And our team is expanding. We’re looking for a Tax & LegalRisk & Quality Manager to assist in providing risk and quality support to the Tax and Private businesses within our vast community of solvers.
Use the know-how you've gained in corporate tax, on tax deals and transactions, or in a wider professional services context. With new problems to solve, you'll have plenty of support and opportunities to grow. We work from anywhere, so your strong communication skills and team ethos will get a workout. You'll learn plenty as you identify opportunities to improve and/or simplify delivery of Risk & Quality (R&Q) services in a workplace that’s human-led and tech-enabled.
As an expert in Risk & Quality, you’ll solve problems by proactively identifying and assisting to mitigate risks to business objectives, including common challenges encountered, new and emergent risks and identifying common areas for improvement. In our Tax & Legal Risk & Quality team, you’ll also:
- Work closely with teams during the development of new products and services, assisting to identify risks and implement mitigation strategies
- Identify, develop and deliver reputation and risk management training programs
- Liaise with other internal firm services (e.g. Information Technology, Office of General Counsel (OGC), Independence, Markets) to deliver projects, resolve complex issues, identify new and emerging risks and provide cohesive advice to teams
- Develop tools, templates and facilities to enable client facing teams to work efficiently and effectively to deliver client engagements while maintaining compliance with reputation and risk management policies
- Prepare communications to the national team on reputation and risk management matters
- Support the business in relation to day-to-day quality and risk related queries
- Support the annual review program by performing compliance reviews
- Work with OGC to identify and manage legal and contractual risks
- Various ad-hoc projects with Risk & Quality requirements - e.g. offshoring, acquisitions, simplification of processes, digitisation
- Identify opportunities to improve and/or simplify delivery of R&Q services

- You should have strong stakeholder management skills. You will be required to liaise with various parts of the business, manage expectations and deliver outcomes to client facing teams within the bounds of firm policy and regulation
- You should have strong communication, presentation skills. Ability to articulate a problem clearly, obtain and understand relevant viewpoints and convert into meaningful advice
- You have an experience and a keen interest in Risk & Quality
- You have excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- You are proficient in Microsoft Office suite as well as exposure to data analytics and visualization tools.
- You have strong leadership and coaching experience
- You are self-motivated with the ability to work autonomously
- You are agile and comfortable working in a flexible environment
- You have the ability to build strong, trust based relationships and influence with impact
- You exhibit confidence to work and communicate with people at all levels of seniority
- You have the capability to deliver tangible commercial outcomes in a fast paced environment
