The purpose of this position is to play a key role in supporting the Group's strategic and statutory Tax obligations. You will manage the Group's Australian direct and indirect taxation compliance. You will also partner with business units to ensure business practices proactively meet company policies. Furthermore, you will also provide strategic tax advice to business units regarding their operational decision making.
Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, your role will include but not be limited to:
- Partner with Senior Management regarding Group structuring (inc. M&A)
- Overseeing company tax, FBT and payroll tax reporting and compliance
- Control over company-wide tax effect accounting
- Ensuring integration between ERP systems and company taxation policy
- Partnering with Sales and Commercial Managers to integrate tax policies
- Ad hoc tax duties as required
Ideally CA and degree qualified, you will have a background in a large consulting firm or similar large corporate business. You will have a desire to work in both the strategic and compliance sides of taxation, and have the ambition to grow your career in a structured and growing firm. Strong communication skills, a customer service focus, and demonstrated experience partnering with major clients will be essential for success in this role.
