About the Role
Reporting into the GM for Finance, and as the sole tax expert across the ANZ region, you will have overall responsibility for all areas of tax compliance, planning and Transfer Pricing across 4 Australian entities and one in New Zealand.
Day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Tax compliance activities including tax effect accounting, review of tax-sensitive general ledger accounts and review of GST, BAS, Payroll Tax and WHT returns;
- Quarterly management and payment of tax instalments, preparing income tax provisioning calculation and group tax reporting;
- Working with senior finance leadership to minimise direct and indirect tax liabilities whilst complying with all relevant tax laws;
- Develop and maintain corporate tax governance for the group's ANZ entities; and
- Maintain close communication with internal and external stakeholders, including the senior finance team, external advisers and the ATO.
Skills & Experience
- CA/CPA qualified with 5+ years tax experience;
- Experience working as part of a Group Tax function in a commercial organisation;
- Able to work independently whilst sourcing advice from relevant parties/individuals when needed; and
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, able to comfortably present to senior stakeholders.
