The Tax Accountant reporting directly to the Tax Manager - Australian Resorts. Based in Melbourne, the functional scope will include assisting with various tax compliance matters across the Crown Resorts Group.
The Tax team offers an exciting mix of operational and strategic opportunities that work to ensure Crown remains the ultimate destination for joyful experiences.
In this role, you'll provide joyful experiences through your genuine care for stakeholders. As well as:
- Assisting with the completion of tax requirements for the group; including preparation of complete and accurate tax effect accounting calculations and monthly balance sheet reconciliations for income tax accounts.
- Preparation of the GST, Fringe Benefits Tax, and PAYG Returns, including ongoing collating and analysing business data.
- Assisting with the provision of tax advice on the impact of new or amended legislation, case law, rulings and other changes, as well as operational issues for the group.
- Assist with the preparation of the Income Tax Returns, including the Australian tax consolidated group and overseas subsidiaries.
You'll bring the following:
- Minimum 2 years tax experience gained through employment in a similar commercial environment or mid-tier/Big 4 chartered accounting firm.
- Commerce or Business degree qualified; and currently completing CA or CPA post-graduate qualifications.
- A self-starter attitude with an ability to drive results and take initiative to identify areas of opportunity. As well as strong attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
