About the Centre/Service Grange Road Kindergarten is a committee-managed community kindergarten, situated in Bayside Sandringham. We pride ourselves on our 3-year-old, 4-year-old, and Extended Hours programs, and our beautiful outdoor play space. Grange Road Kindergarten provides children with an environment that encourages and stimulates their development and builds self-confidence and social skills in readiness for the step into a more formal learning environment at school.
Work Days of the Role Monday and Wednesday are the Teaching Days
Hours of Work of the Role 31.5 hours per week
to join our team in our 4yo Blue group. Blue Group (4YO) sessions are run on Monday and Wednesday 8.30am-4pm (15 hours). The combined role of Teacher/Educational Leader/Nominated Supervisor attracts a total 31.5 hours per week.
We are seeking a candidate that will continue to provide a happy and relaxed environment where each child is valued as an individual. In your capacity as Teacher, Educational Leader and Nominated Supervisor, you will have the ability to demonstrate a high level of understanding of the following:
- National Quality Standard
- Early Years Learning Frameworks
- School Readiness Funding
- Regulations
- Child Safe Standards
Additionally, you should be able to demonstrate an ability to:
- collaborate with educators and provide curriculum direction and guidance
- support educators to effectively implement the cycle of planning to enhance programs and practices
- lead the development and implementation of an effective educational program in the service
- ensure that children’s learning and development are guided by the learning outcomes of the approved learning frameworks.
- guide and develop educators and families’ understandings about play based learning, and the significance of the early years in the education continuum for children
- build a culture of professional inquiry with educators, coordinators and staff members to develop professional knowledge, reflect on practice and generate new ideas.
Considerable experience in planning and delivering high quality educational programs as well as leading a team of staff is necessary.

Qualifications ACECQA approved early childhood education and care qualification. Experience as a Kindergarten teacher is a must, ideally in a Sessional Community Kindergarten setting.
