Junior School Classroom Teacher

We are seeking to appoint a suitably qualified and passionate, Junior School Teacher on a Full-time, Fixed-term Contract for the duration of Semester 2, 2024 with the possibility to extend throughout 2025.
As a Classroom Teacher in our Junior School, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our students' educational journey. You will be responsible for delivering engaging and innovative lessons, fostering a positive classroom culture, and supporting the holistic development of each child.
Responsibilities Include:
- Plan, prepare and deliver learning and teaching programs which meet the diverse needs and characteristics of our students and are consistent with the relevant syllabi followed by the College.
- Build relationships and partnerships with students, parents, fellow staff and the wider community through the use of well-developed communication and interpersonal skills.
- Work collaboratively with peers to meet position and departmental responsibilities.
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
- Deal promptly and efficiently with requirements such as record keeping and the maintenance of student attendance and achievement information.
- Attend student assemblies, worship and other activities as required.
- Be a role model for students by modelling appropriate dress, language, behaviour and communication practices.
Key Selection Criteria:
- Willingness to be part of a well established and collaborative team.
- A demonstrated ability to apply the principles of inclusive teaching and learning, including the use of learning technologies and assessment, to create a supportive and challenging environment in which students are supported in achieving to their potential.
- Proven classroom management and communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to contribute to the diverse extracurricular program of the College.
- An active interest in and commitment to the education of young children.
- Ability to conduct oneself in a way which develops personal respect, respect for the College and the teaching profession.
Essential Qualifications:
- Current Queensland College of Teacher Registration.
- Degree/Diploma qualifications relevant to the position
