This is a permanent part-time (0.6FTE) position commencing Term 2, 2024
Cottesloe Primary School (PS) is seeking a highly skilled, motivated and engaging Teacher of Physical Education to join our professional and committed team.
The successful applicant will be responsible for promoting and teaching a high quality Physical Education program to students from Pre Primary to Year 6. The Physical Education Teacher should teach students the skills, knowledge and concepts within the Western Australian curriculum and develop students’ enjoyment of physical activity.
Cottesloe PS staff value collaboration and teamwork. Teachers work closely with the parent body and community to ensure our students have the best opportunity to shine. We have an active Parents and Community Association who work together with staff for the benefit of all students, to improve facilities and to provide educational resources.
The Physical Education Specialist will organise and run athletics, swimming, tabloid carnivals and support teachers with interschool teams, giving students the opportunity to demonstrate their skills and positive attitude to physical activity. They will also work within the network with colleagues to plan and conduct network sporting carnivals.

This selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy. Applicants assessed as suitable during this selection process may be considered for other similar vacancies that occur throughout our school for up to 12 months following this initial appointment. This includes circumstances where this position becomes subsequently vacant should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised position.

ELIGIBILITY
Employees will be required to:
