AddressOrange High School has proudly provided high quality learning experiences to students in Central Western NSW for over 100 years. Today, we educate up to 1000 students, including approx.130 Aboriginal students, from within the regional city of Orange and its rural surroundings on Wiradjuri country. Staff work collaboratively to ensure every student is engaged by carefully evaluating student data and community feedback. Teachers have the opportunity to guide students in discovering their talents and reminding our youth that they can make a change. Our educators continually review and reform their teaching strategies to improve our external results in NAPLAN and the HSC by using evidence-based best practices to enhance academic outcomes.
Selection CriteriaApproval to teach Science in Years 7-10 and Approved and/or Willing to Teach Stage 6 Biology and Physics, and a willingness to teach Stage 6 Chemistry.
Demonstrated ability to integrate a range of technology into effective classroom practice to support students in achieving their potential in HSC Chemistry.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationships and contribute to whole school programs.
Demonstrated ability to work collegially as part of the Science faculty to develop quality teaching programs and assessments that cater to students of all levels
ConditionsAn unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
