Our client is a well-established, boutique chartered Accounting practice providing accounting, taxation and advisory services to local SME’s and SMSF Clients. The Principal has a large portfolio of loyal clients who choose to work with him because of his relationship-based approach. They pride themselves on quality service, close relationships and support is always provided.Due to a loyal and long-standing employee taking early retirement the Principal is looking for an Office / Admin All Rounder to join his friendly team.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Day to day support to the Principal and Manager
- Preparation, co-ordination and processing of ASIC Company Statements including invoicing.
- Processing of all ASIC lodgements, including company registrations, shares transfers, shareholders, company address and name updates, de-registrations, minutes, share certificates.
- Company and Title searches.
- Liaison with the Australian Taxation Office and other regulatory bodies.
- ATO portal reports review and generating.
- Lodgements of Taxation, BAS’s and other returns and items as needed.
- Processing of mail - incoming and outgoing electronic and paper.
- Client correspondence; Follow up clients on outstanding items.
- Database maintenance and management (MYOB)
- Scanning, emailing and filing.
- Answering calls; liaison with clients.
- Organising internal and external events.
- General office support duties.
Skills & Attributes required:
- Prior experience working in an Accounting practice would be ideal.
- Experience using MYOB AE/AO, MYOB Tax, ATO, ASIC and MyGov portals is advantageous – training will be provided.
- Ability to time manage and prioritise workloads.
- Dedicated attention to detail, calm concentration, strong administration and fast data entry skills.
- Have a passion for facts and figures combined with a friendly, confident and customer service attitude.
- Mature work ethic, integrity, discretion and initiative are essential.
- Ideally have completed Cert IV Bookkeeping or Certificate in Administration, although not mandatory
