About this OpportunityReporting directly to the Production Manager, as the Team Lead - Logistics Controller, you will be responsible for the control of stock purchasing and traceability records for the Engineering bases across SA/NT. You will also work closely with the team to ensure regulatory compliant acquisition, receipt, and records keeping of all aviation/aeronautical products, and provide leadership and guidance to the Logistics Coordinator.
Specifically, you will:
- Contribute to the success of your team by managing the stock purchasing, traceability, receipt and storage for the Engineering team.
- Provide senior support and guidance to the Logistics Controller.
- Promote creative ideas to improve efficiencies to the logistic process.
- Monitor all orders to ensure they are cost effective and the best practice solution.
- Work with Finance to streamline invoice processing and interface between WinAir and Finance One.
- Maintain appropriate stock in the 'store'.
You are:
- An expert in aviation, with proven experience in aviation logistics.
- Experienced in stock control and stock management.
- Experienced in purchasing.
- Able to work under pressure while determining priorities to achieve deadlines in a dynamic environment.
- Well-developed in your computer skills.
- A strong communicator with high levels of initiation and drive.
- Able to develop and maintain relationships across a diverse range of people.
- Able to operate a fork-lift (licensed).
