CSSD Team leader and CSSD Instrument TechnicianRamsay Surgical Centre Glenferrie, HawthorneCSSD Team LeaderWe are seeking an energetic and innovative CSSD Supervisor with a strong team focus to assist in the day to day coordination of the Central Sterilising Stores Department activities. In this role you will be required to lead a small team of CSSD Technicians to ensure departmental tasks are achieved in an effective and efficient manner. This position requires an individual with the ability to be a positive role model and a passionate mentor.You will work across a Monday-Friday roster including early and late shifts.To succeed in this role, you will be a positive role model with a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. You will have exceptional communication skills and will be a passionate mentor with the capability to support and assist in the leadership of a team of professionals.You will also demonstrate;
- Certificate IV in Sterilising Services, or working towards obtaining such qualification
- Minimum 3 (three) years' CSSD experience essential with leadership experience highly desirable
- Extensive knowledge of standards & AS4187 requirements
- Experience in competency assessment and staff training
- A Cert IV in Sterilising or Training & Assessment will be highly desirable
- As an Instrument Technician, you will be required to assist nursing staff in ensuring daily set ups are complete and sterilisation processes are to standard.
- You will ensure consistency and continuous workflow between the various Operating Theatre areas and CSD whilst practising exceptional customer service and maintaining the high operational standards of the sterilisation department.
- This will include working in conjunction with the Operating Theatre staff to provide timely sterile products, trays and equipment where applicable.
- This is a critical part of the surgical process and the ability to work efficiently with your team to manage pressing deadlines is crucial.
- To succeed in this role you will bring proven experience in Clinical Sterilisation services, ideally within a hospital setting.
- You will have exceptional communication skills and have the ability to work in a fast paced environment.
- Certificate IV in Sterilising Services, or working towards obtaining such qualification
- Minimum 1 year experience ( desirable)
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a high-performing team
- Must provide a National Police check conducted within the previous 12 months
- According to the role, Ramsay may require a Working-With-Children check and proof of immunisation against infectious diseases, which may include Covid-19.
