The Team Leader (Curriculum Development and Learning Support) ensures high-quality academic support and oversees curriculum processes within the Faculty of Science. This role manages curriculum approval, quality assurance, and policy implementation while leading a small team and collaborating with faculty leadership and academic support teams.Your responsibilities will include:
- Effectively plan and coordinate the administration of Curriculum Development for academic programs within the faculty.
- Lead and guide a small team, setting clear performance expectations, providing regular feedback, and documenting outcomes.
- Provide advice and guidance to staff regarding academic programs policy and processes.
- Provide high-level support in major program reviews and the creation of new teaching and Learning initiatives and collaborate closely with key stakeholders to enhance curriculum design.
You will have strong written and verbal communication skills to interact effectively with diverse stakeholders in dynamic environments. Additionally, you will possess strong organizational skills, enthusiasm, self-motivation, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.You will also have:
- A relevant degree, and experience in Curriculum Development or Learning Support, preferably within a higher education institution, or extensive relevant experience.
- Demonstrated ability to interpret, explain, and apply policies, procedures, rules, and regulations effectively.
- Proficiency in quantitative data literacy, demonstrated by the capability to extract data from various systems
- Demonstrated commitment to providing excellent customer service, with the ability to set professional service standards and actively improve service quality over time
The position is located in the Student and Academic Services team, within the Faculty of Science Secretariat.
