Team Leader Design

The Position
Will be responsible for management and delivery of the following services:

• Development & Maintenance of Engineering Guidelines and Standards
• Survey and Design of AlburyCity Infrastructure
• Management of Engineering Consultants
• Preparation of Contract Documentation and Assessment of Tenders
• Infrastructure Planning and Development
• Floodplain Management and Development
• Drainage Catchment Management

Qualifications & experience 

• Tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering or relevant discipline 
• Class C (standard) Drivers Licence (compulsory to have and maintain)
• Extensive experience in delivery of Engineering and Planning outcomes

Tasks & responsibilities 

• Supervise and lead effective and efficient team capable of delivering required design services to the relevant engineering standards 
• Monitor staff performance and development, motivate staff and maintain team harmony 
• Improve efficiency through the implementation of continuous improvement programs 
• Create an effective leadership group and implement a performance management approach through the team. 
• Prepare and manage the effective delivery of design services including the following functions: 
  • Investigation, survey, design, and documentation 
  • Approvals and environmental assessments
  • Cost estimation and cost control
  • Contract documentation and administration
  • Stormwater and flooding management
  • Engineering design standards and procedures.

Hours
Based on a 35-hour week, with actual days and times being Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 5.00pm, with an RDO in accordance with AlburyCity's RDO guidelines.
