We need your expertise to help us execute our client’s vision.What will you doLead a team of people within a Haskoning Australia Work Group and be responsible for the day-to-day coordination of this team, with a focus on Resource Management (who is needed when and where), and oversight of People matters within your team in consultation with the DAG. Communication will be a critical component in you succeeding in the role.The team you lead will provide support across both the Maritime and Resilience business lines so you will need to work closely with teams across the entity.The Team Leader role, for a team of 8 to 12, is expected to take no more than 10-20% of the working week (less if the team is small, slightly more if larger along with proportionate increase in time requirement around key dates e.g., P&D process). The remaining time is spent in the technical role for which the staff member is expected to undertake. It will be held in conjunction with the individual’s current role.The Team Leader’s core functions are: * Resource Management – Coordinating teams and their workload and duties, in consultation with the DAG, providing immediate ‘on the ground’ support to the DAG, providing direct knowledge of staff workload, availability and project progress; overseeing allocation of people to projects; ensuring that the team is managing and completing project forecasts, health checks and other essential requirements in a timely manner;
- People – ensuring they either manage the individual P&D discussions of their people themselves, or delegate where required (i.e., people more senior than them, and where they have too many to complete). Oversight of recruitment is a critical part of the role too. Management of team – including leave requests and absence management, ensuring that the team is managing and completing, timesheets and other essential requirements in a timely manner, ensuring that
- Communication – ensuring aspects such as Team Strategy, commercial goals and other critical business and environmental matters are properly understood; liaising and working with other Team Leaders to ensure effective client management, opportunity raising and work winning for and with your team.

- Coordinate and lead weekly team meetings – communicate and disseminate the minutes / actions.
- Attend Team Leader telecons to discuss resource sharing.
- Monitor team utilisation and timesheets, and communicate issues to DAG and AD.
- Compile and maintain a resource sheet for the team.
- Ensure that staff complete their In / Out status list within home office.
- Manage annual leave resourcing across the team to ensure coverage.

- Hold an Engineering, Science, Environmental or related field relevant degree and or Masters
- At least 8 – 10+ years relevant working experience.
- Good knowledge of standard practices in the Maritime CAD or Environment
- Good understanding of the daily (operational) business of our clients;
