About the Role
As the Team Leader Design at the City of Salisbury, you will play a key role in shaping the infrastructure landscape of our community. You will lead a dedicated team of professionals in delivering innovative and cost-effective solutions for our capital works program. This role is not only about overseeing design delivery but also about fostering a culture of excellence, mentorship and collaboration within the team. You will have the opportunity to contribute to master planning efforts and ensure that our community's infrastructure meets the highest standards of quality, sustainability, and resilience.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate a deep understanding of the importance of infrastructure in shaping the lives of our residents and a commitment to delivering projects that enhance their quality of life. They will anticipate future needs and contribute to long-term infrastructure development strategies that ensure our community's sustainability and resilience.
Essential Selection Criteria:
- Tertiary Qualifications in civil engineering
- Demonstrated leadership experience
- Comprehensive understanding of engineering practices
- Experience in civil engineering design, including drainage, roads and structures
- High-level proficiency in software packages such as AutoCAD 2020, Autodesk® Vehicle Tracking 2019, Civil 3D, and stormwater hydraulic and hydrological modeling software
- Strong analytical skills combined with excellent verbal and written communication abilities
- High-level organisation, record-keeping and time management skills
