About the role
The Team Leader Disability Programs Ararat provides leadership and guidance to the team to ensure outstanding services are provided to children and adults living with Disability. You will oversee the day-to-day operations, support a positive team environment, guide the team and provide ongoing development for staff. You will develop programs that are empowering for participants.
About you
To be successful in this role you will be a leader experienced in supporting staff to provide the highest quality programs to the clients. You will promote a collaborative team environment that supports staff to perform at their best and make a difference to the participants of the programs they engage in. You will have outstanding communication skills and build rapport with a diverse range of stakeholders in this varied role you require excellent time management and organisational skills.
Skills required
- Tertiary qualifications in health or a related field
- Excellent leadership experience in the disability field
- Extensive experience in staff management and development
- Ability to promote dignity and respect for people with a disability and their carers
- Demonstrated ability to identify and build capacity to achieve organisational goals
- Outstanding communication skills both verbal and written
- Preparedness to travel throughout western Victoria as required
- A current Victorian driver’s licence
