Job description:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Team Leader to oversee our Electronic Security Systems team within Queensland Rail's Telecommunications Engineering team.
As the Team Leader, you will manage a team of currently eight direct reports responsible for the installation, maintenance, and upgrades of CCTV systems, station security screens, train access gates, fence detection, thermal imaging, and CCTV operations across our Queensland network.
About the role:
- Provide leadership and guidance to a team of eight direct reports, ensuring high performance and adherence to quality standards.
- Oversee CCTV installation and maintenance projects, including station upgrades and system enhancements.
- Manage supplier relationships and maintenance contracts to ensure efficient service delivery.
- Develop tenders for CCTV installations and coordinate procurement processes.
- Liaise with various business stakeholders on technical solutions.
About you:
- Demonstrate strong leadership skills and foster a positive team environment.
- Minimum 10-15 years of experience in the Electronic Security sector, with a proven track record of leadership and project management.
- Strong understanding of CCTV systems, thermal imaging technology, and Electronic Security principles.
- Experience in managing supplier contracts, procurement processes, and tender submissions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels.
- Knowledge of ACMA open cable license and registration requirements.
Qualifications:
Preferred candidates will hold a current Queensland Security Provider Licence.

Based in Brisbane CBD.
Whilst this role is predominantly performed within a corporate environment in Brisbane, there will also be opportunities to travel to sites within Queensland.
