Details: The Canberra Institute of Technology (CIT) is seeking an experienced Team Leader to join the Awards and Programs team to manage the issuance of awards and provision of academic advice across the institute. This position will manage the day-to-day operations of the team to ensure compliance and consistency is achieved throughout the awarding process.
ABOUT THE ROLE:
The Canberra Institute of Technology (CIT) is seeking an individual who can effectively manage, supervise, and train staff to ensure compliance with the requirements of the national vocational education and training (VET) regulator and AQF guidelines in the issuance of awards and provision of academic advice.
Reporting to the Manager, Awards and Programs this position coordinates and prioritises work for the Awards team and contributes to the continuous improvement and streamlining of processes, including system enhancements and troubleshooting. The Team Leader will provide high-level administrative support by preparing data and reports, and timely information to support the preparation of submissions, briefs, and other correspondence.
ABOUT YOU?
This role requires an individual who can manage a team to achieve quality outcomes, provide exceptional customer service, respond to an array of enquiries, and has high level communication, administration, and time management skills.
The ability to interrogate databases, troubleshoot system issues, extract, analyse and present data and information clearly and succinctly across the institute is essential to this role.
Strong knowledge of the VET Quality Framework would be an advantage.
Eligibility/ Other Requirements: Desirable:
- Experience in the Vocational Education and Training sector
- Supervisory administration or management experience in VET or higher education
- Qualifications in information technology, education, business, or project management are highly desirable.
Note: This is a temporary position available immediately for a period of six months with the Possibility of extension up to 12 months and/or permanency.
