Team Leader - Release of Information /Information Release/ Freedom of Information
- Permanent Full-Time Position
- 38 hours per week, or 40 hours per week with monthly ADO
- Monday to Friday hours only, business hours (no weekends!)
- Based onsite at Maroondah Hospital (Ringwood East)

About the role
This position is responsible for the support and management of the Release of Information (ROI), Information Release and Freedom of Information (FOI) administrative teams within Eastern Health. The role will involve overseeing the day-to-day operations, supporting and assisting staff with queries regarding what information can and cannot be released, as well as providing guidance on the authorities required, or the legislative provisions under which information may be released. The role requires an attentive, people-person who enjoys continuous interaction with staff, and will play a pivotal role in developing people, and influencing a positive and supportive culture that acknowledges and values the talents and contribution of each individual. In addition, the role will require active monitoring of activity, collation and reporting of relevant statistics to management, and auditing of requests to identify opportunities for efficiency gains through automated processes where possible. The role will also provide assistance to the Operations Manager - Information Release, and the Freedom of Information Coordinator.
About you
To be successful in this role you will possess:
- Previous staff management experience, or team leading experience
- Experience with a scanned medical record, and an Electronic Medical Record (EMR)
- Strong information technology skills and a great ability to problem solve
- Highly developed interpersonal and leadership experience
- A strong commitment to high quality care
- The ability to work as part of a diverse team
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- A positive, can-do work attitude, dedicated to supporting a team to succeed.
