About the position
This position includes the active support of participants and some administrative duties. You will work alongside your team to help achieve participant goals. There are some administrative tasks associated with running the residential site and overseeing participants care.
About you
As a strong team player, you will oversee a low to medium complex care residential site, participants with a wide range of disabilities, and staff. Working closely with the operational management team, you will be well organised with the ability to manage multiple tasks, problem solve and think on your feet in a rapidly changing environment.
To be successful in this position you will have:
- Previous experience supporting people with high intensity care and support requirements.
- The ability to exercise a high level of confidentiality and discretion.
- Demonstrated high level of resilience, communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated administrative and computer skills.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively supervise, lead and motivate a team, and resolve conflict.
- A current full/provisional driver’s licence and Working with Vulnerable People Registration.
Desirable:
- CHC33015 - Certificate III in Individual Support or CHC43115 - Certificate IV in Disability
Key tasks and duties:
- Work closely with the operational management team to oversee the requirements of the site and the participants we support.
- Supervise staff members including verifying competence and supporting new employees.
- Monitor the general health and wellbeing of participants.
- Provide personal care to participants.
- Arrange medical and other appointments and associated paperwork as required.
- Liaise with external and internal stakeholders.
Li-Ve Tasmania are moving towards qualification based employment and have the opportunity for the successful candidate to study and obtain a CHC33015 - Certificate III in Individual Support or CHC43115 - Certificate IV in Disability.
