With a passion for coaching & development of a team, you will be motivated by seeing others gain independence in their life. You will bring your experience of working with clients who demonstrate challenging behaviours as a result of mental health issues or cognitive disability. You will also have the following skills:
- Effective listening and adaptable communication style
- Experience with dual disability / dual diagnosis support
- Strong commitment to client-directed care
- Demonstrated ability to coach and lead a team
- An understanding of the NDIS and its impact on outcomes for clients and existing models of service delivery
- Tertiary qualifications in Mental Health, Disability, Social Work, Psychology or other relevant qualification
About the Role
As a Team Leader you are responsible for the management and operation of a program that provides complex, recovery-oriented support for people with a persistent mental illness who will often have a history of homelessness, addiction, disability, social dysfunction, aggressive and inappropriate behaviours. To achieve this the role entails:
- Holding regular supervision and team meetings with staff
- Ensuring staff maintain a focus on client directed needs to achieve client directed outcomes & service delivery objectives
- Ensuring agreed service delivery is provided to the client
- Confirming accurate case notes are completed regularly by the team and that regular case reviews are conducted
- Developing and maintaining strong relationships with all relevant stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with all internal & external requirements including reporting
