In this role, you'll:
- Motivate and guide a tight knit road construction team in a non-trades environment.
- Be coordinating construction activities across road projects
- Mentor and lead by example when providing on the job training to team members in accordance with relevant procedures.
- Ensure safety is front and centre when performing daily activities and all environmental, quality controls are implemented on site.
- Ensure scheduled maintenance activities are completed within the desired timeframes and within budget in accordance with TfNSW specifications and operating procedures.
- Work a 9-day fortnight roster
to find out more about our maintenance and delivery teams.
About you
We're seeking a proactive and organised leader with extended knowledge and experience in road works or as Leading Hand in a civil construction environment who can provide strong leadership to bring out the best in their team.
You will be an excellent communicator with great negotiation and conflict resolution skills. You will have proven ability to follow appropriate safe working procedures and resolve routine problems independently. We want you to be your best and will provide you with opportunities to develop your skills.
You'll hold the following:
- Valid White card
- Valid Driver's licence
- MR truck licence, while not essential, would be advantageous
