The Revenue and Collections Team is responsible for the management and maintenance of Council’s property and rating database along with the overseeing of the general revaluations. These functions ensure the accurate raising of all rating revenue, which is the primary funding source for Council.

The role

We are seeking a Team Leader, Revenue and Collections to join the Finance Department. Reporting to the Manager of Finance, your role is to:

  • Provide leadership to the Revenue and Collections Team to successfully meet departmental and organisational objectives.
  • Provide mentoring and coaching to team members. 
  • Creating and maintaining a culture that supports high levels of staff engagement and performance.

This is an exciting opportunity to lead a high performing team to engage with our community and effectively administer rates at the City of Kingston. We are looking to develop innovative approaches to service delivery, and to develop, implement and continually review procedures and systems relating to valuations and rates to ensure services have a client and best practice focus and meet council’s legislative obligations.

About you

We are looking for someone with:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Accounting / Commerce / Business Administration or other relevant discipline
  • Extensive experience in the management of large databases in business or local government.

The salary for this position starts at $104,653 (Band 7) per annum plus superannuation.
