Care Group Community Services was established in 2019, when a need for a culturally diverse support service was identified, who are also compassionate, caring and are committed to building long term relationships with those in need.
Our team provide in-depth framework, staffing, support solutions, accommodation and care, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. We work in partnership with families, guardians, Support Coordinators, and other internal departments to provide personalised support and accommodation.

Title:Team Leader Supported Independent Living - NSW
Location: Riverwood, and South West Sydney - NSW
Position purpose
The Team Leader manages day-to-day operational requirements, work distribution, and outputs of Disability services and Support Workers across multiple locations in compliance with legislative, regulatory, and funding guidelines and Care Group policies and procedures
- Provide feedback and suggestions to management regarding the operation of the program and potential improvements
- Implement improvements through collaboration with management and relevant team(s) and in accordance with Care Group requirements around change management (where relevant)
- Complete the rostering across the programs of responsibility and ensure that timesheets and case notes are submitted by their due date and time
- Support management in the development and the monitoring of the relevant program budgets
- Ensure all legal, funder and statutory requirements pertaining to the position are met including serious incidents, reportable conduct, and mandatory reporting (child safety, NDIS)
- Identify, report, manage and respond to emerging issues in an
- Establish, lead, coach and inspire an engaged and productive team
- Lead the team in leading practices and effective process governance
- Provide support, guidance, coaching, leadership, and empowerment to the team including feed back through performance reviews and regular supervision.
- Undertake regular supervision and performance review with line manager, proving feedback to promote collaborative working relationships
- Compliance with Care Group’s values, code of conduct, policies and procedures and relevant government legislation and standards where relevant.
- Cooperate with strategies to actively ensure the safety, protection and well-being of children who come into association with us.
- Ensure appropriate use of resources.
- Actively participate in initiatives to maintain, build upon and promote a positive and collaborative workplace
- A relevant tertiary and/or demonstrated experience in the provision of casework services in the health or welfare sector.
- Relevant experience in a human services, welfare, or social services role.
- Sound knowledge of the NDIS and the requirements involved in operating NDIS funded and governed programs.
- Proven experience in leading and developing a diverse, engaged, and cross-functional workforce focused on delivery of client outcomes.
- Demonstrated staff supervision and leadership skills and ability to deal with challenging clients and complex issues.
- Program management and community development experience.
