Lactalis Harvey Fresh in Western Australian is nestled amongst the fields of the beautiful South West Region of Harvey. This farming rich region is well known for producing premium fruit and first grade milk.
About this Opportunity
We are seeking to recruit a pro-active, hands-on Warehouse Team Leader who is ready to make a positive impact to the business. Reporting to the distribution centre coordinator you will play an integral role in the day-to-day activity across distribution and related areas.
- Take charge of day-to-day operations within the distribution centre, ensuring efficient and timely processing of incoming and outgoing inventory
- Assign responsibilities and tasks to team members according to their skill sets and workload
- Enforce quality control measures to ensure accurate picking and packing of products, in alignment with established quality standards.
- Uphold strict adherence to safety protocols, promoting a safe working environment and promptly addressing any safety concerns or incidents
- Maintain clear and open communication channels with team members, peers, and higher management to relay updates, address challenges, and foster a collaborative environment
- Ensure accurate and up-to-date documentation of processes, procedures, and inventory records, facilitating transparency and accountability
Essential Requirements
- Current forklift licence
- Competent in use of manual handling equipment – hi reach forklift, frame forklift, pallet rider and pallet jack
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role
- Qualification in Logistics or Warehousing - highly desirable
- Previous experience in Fast Manufacturing Consumer Goods (FMCG) environment - desired
- Experience with SAP - highly regarded
- Ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines
- Understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP)
- Excellent communication skills
