A bit about the role
As the Team LeaderYouth Services Facility and Administration, you will be responsible for leading the site’s Administration team with oversight of day-to-day operations, including rosters, budgets, and stakeholder management.
You will have proven experience in overseeing the effective running of facilities and operational management, as well as business administration to efficiently run the Youth Services centre and provide daily guidance and support to our Youth Services staff. You will work closely with internal and external partners, support family centred and culturally safe youth tailored programming through administrative excellence. You will be an experienced people leader with a collaborative, supportive, mentoring approach.
We are looking for someone who is an experienced leader and passionate about working with youth and community, you will be supported by a committed and passionate professional leadership team that fully supports innovation and professional development.
What you will deliver
- Work collaboratively with Youth Services, young people, groups, organisations and Council to activate community spaces and respond to emerging themes and priorities
- Develop and support staff and volunteers, growing the skills and incredible personal attributes in our community centres
- Build relationships and develop strong community connections to better serve the needs of young people and community in Wyndham
- Oversee important venue operations including foodbank, maintenance and procedures such as Occupational health and Safety
What you will bring
- Tertiary qualification in business administration or relevant discipline with some relevant experience, or lesser qualification with substantial experience in a community based setting
- Leadership skills and a growth mindset, ensuring that the Youth Resource Centre administration team receives the highest level of support
- Ability to multi-task, prioritise and support a youth and community focused and accessible centre
- Proven experience in management of facility operations and working alongside young people and understands their needs.
- Demonstrated ability to build connections, capacity and work collaboratively with youth, community members, groups and organisations to achieve joint outcomes
- Business administration skills including reporting, business planning, and efficient management of resources
- A positive, curious and flexible mind with a proven commitment to social justice
