The Role
To help support our companies growth, we're on the lookout for new talent to work within our Production team at our purpose-built Byron Bay factory. As a production Team Member, you play a critical role in nurturing our products through their lifecycle from raw ingredients, right through to finished products ready to be shipped out to our customers in Australia and around the world. You will have the opportunity to work alongside and learn from highly skilled chocolatiers and experienced industry experts as you contribute your energy toward the production of one of the leading vegan chocolate brands in Australia. Growth opportunities and further learning within the company are available to the right person.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Preparing and processing raw ingredients into finished chocolate bars.
- Assembling and packing chocolates into finished products ready for dispatch.
- Operating production and packing machinery safety and effectively.
- Ensuring a clean, organised and sanitary workspace at all times.
- Accurate and timely reporting of production data, wastage and inventory when required.
- Following the guidance and structure provided by team leaders at all times to ensure efficient, safe and harmonious production shift.
- Maintaining an upbeat, can-do attitude and positive energy toward all tasks and team mates, while fostering an environment of continual improvement and high vibes.
Hours
This is a casual position based in our Byron Bay, NSW production facility. We operate Monday to Friday, and will be ideally suited to somebody who is after a consistent 4-5 days work each week.
Qualifications & Experience
- Previous manufacturing - particularly in food or FMCG - will be highly regarded, but not essential.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, while always being responsible for ones own quality of work.
- Food safety and knowledge of HACCP.
- Fit, willing and able to perform manual tasks and lift up to 25kg at times.
- Strong communication skills.
- Problem-solving and process improvement.
- Working towards defined goals and KPI's.
- Positive approach to change and continuous improvement.
