Tasman Cargo Airlines is the premium all-cargo operator across the Tasman, and to destinations in the South-West Pacific and Asia.

Tasman Cargo Airlines is embarking on an exciting period of growth, and as a result, we are seeking an experienced and dedicated Technical and Airworthiness Engineer (TAE) to join our team in Melbourne.

About the Role:

Reporting to the Manager Engineering, your role as a Technical and Airworthiness Engineer (TAE) will involve providing vital support to the company's freighter aircraft operations. This encompasses a wide range of engineering, planning, and administrative responsibilities. Key responsibilities include:

Core Responsibilities:

  • Review and assess Aircraft Maintenance Program (AMP) and Airworthiness Review Certificates (ARCs).
  • Conduct assessments of Operational and Maintenance conditions applicable to TCA Aircraft (OMELs).
  • Review and assess Aircraft Directives (ADs) and Service Bulletins (SBs), in  liaison with FTM UK.
  • Manage compliance on CASA regulatory changes, ensuring timely reviews and actions.
  • Participate in technical projects and evaluations.
  • Assist in project managing major engineering events.
  • Act as relief for Airworthiness and Planning Manager when required.
  • Provide technical support for line & base maintenance activities
  • Provide technical support and configuration management on  logistical and part enquiries
  • Provide support for C Checks as needed.

About You:

As an ideal candidate, you would possess the following qualifications, experience, skills, and knowledge:

  • LAME with Planning, MOC, or Technical exposure and experience (preferred).
  • LAME Avionics category B2 would be an advantage but no essential
  • Tertiary Qualifications in Maintenance, Engineering, Aviation, or related fields (preferred).
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as an Avionics or Mechanical Technical Services Engineer.
  • Extensive experience in AME large Airline Engineering with strong Project Management skills.
  • Strong commitment to confidentiality, compliance management, and ethical conduct.
  • Willingness to travel overseas around 2-3 times a year.
