About the Job
The Technical Application Manager is responsible for delivering the highest levels of technical product support, knowledge, and training for the large stable of BLA technical products. The role is a combination of both office based and infield activities and will see you designing and configuring software and hardware-based solutions for vessels from 5m to 50m as well as fault finding both remotely and on vessels.
This role is a key strategic position within BLA and links with the BLA Sales Team to provide superior sales and service support for the technical product portfolio. This is an exciting role that will involve both local and interstate travel, sometimes at short notice.

- Technical marine product experience is essential to this role.
- Proficiency in CRM software and MS office suite a must.
- Well-developed sales, negotiation, and communication skills.
About You
- Demonstrable technical marine product knowledge with NMEA 2000 experience.
- Proven technical product training experience inhouse, onsite and on water including at events including Training Days, Boat Shows etc.
- Experience acting as a point of contact for existing and potential customers in collaboration with the frontline Sales Team and other internal business units.
- Collaborative mindset by sharing best practices and supporting a cohesive and proactive sales approach.
- Ability to identify technical customer needs, design installations and recommend technical product solutions to add value to both our sales results and to deliver outstanding functionality and build quality to customers.
- Comfortable in providing inhouse and infield technical back up service and warranty support.
- Ability to develop and maintain a network of Service Partners to assist in product support and sales.
