This includes gathering and prioritising product and customer requirements, ensuring the product vision and function are understood and contained.The role works collaboratively with many teams including technology and administration, and support to ensure efficiencies are met. The candidate should also ensure that the product direction is aligned to UQ’s overall strategy and goals.Key responsibilities will include:Champion and enforce robust cybersecurity practices in alignment with UQ’s Cyber Security Policy and procedures.Undertake solution design, implementation, testing and documentation of solutions to deliver features that meet customer requirements while managing stakeholder expectations around system and resource constraints.Collaborate with key stakeholders to analyse business processes, identifying operational needs and proposing innovative solutions for automated and non-automated components, fostering process improvements.Take responsibility for the creation of test cases and test scripts using in-depth technical analysis of both functional and non-functional specifications. Conduct and facilitate testing activities in accordance with the approved Test Strategy.Lead project management for significant IT projects, engaging in negotiation and liaison with senior stakeholders to ensure adherence to organisational policies and strategies. Provide senior technical advice, support, and mentoring while maintaining an in-depth knowledge of business processes and systems.Provide senior technical advice, support and mentoring to other team members, acting as an escalation point for complex issues and facilitating the resolution in line with service delivery expectations. Maintain an in-depth knowledge of business processes and systems sufficient to provide expert advice on their application.This is a full-time, continuing position.At HEW level 8, the full-time equivalent base salary will be in the range $108,975 - $122,176 plus a generous super allowance of up to 17%. The total FTE package will be up to $127,500 - $142,946 annually. As this role is covered by an Enterprise Agreement, you will also receive regular remuneration increases – at least once a year.About YouPostgraduate qualifications in IT, business, or a related field, or demonstrate significant progress towards such qualifications, coupled with extensive relevant experience. An equivalent combination of experience and education/training will also be considered.Demonstrated experience in product management, Vendor management and engagement with other technical teams to manage technical issues to resolution.Significant experience in business analysis and requirements gathering, technical solution design, testing, correcting and documenting solutions within a large ERP system.Experience in solution design and risk management activities to ensure the robustness of proposed solutions, with the demonstrated ability to collaborate with stakeholders, including vendors and other technical teams, to manage these to resolution.Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including the demonstrated ability to effectively mentor and provide technical leadership to other team members and to communicate and negotiate effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders to achieve outcomes.Excellent written communication skills, including the demonstrated ability to write clear and precise user and technical specifications, with the ability to prioritise own workload, work independently and meet deadlines.Significant experience in consulting within an agile development environment, advising on, and coordinating IT projects across a range of stakeholders at varying levels of seniority, adhering to agreed contemporary project methodologies.Highly DesirableExperience working in the Higher Education sectorStrong technical knowledge and significant experience in designing, testing, configuring of one or multiple of the following systems:ERP systems (Oracle, PeopleSoft aka SiNet)Curriculum management systems (Global IT Factory: Curriculum Management aka Jac)Student placement (InPlace)In addition, the following mandatory requirements apply:Work Rights: You must have unrestricted work rights in Australia for the duration of this appointment to apply.
