About The Role
As a Technical BA at Sportsbet you will be working within a platform team to deliver fortnightly sprints. Acting as a liaison with business and technical teams, translating their needs for a variety of technologies, including services, other platforms, back office, customer facing (Web and Mobile) and internal systems.
Reporting into the Platform Manager, you will be responsible for eliciting and analysing requirements to deliver quality solutions to the business. You will need to understand technical concepts and will work closely with the other professionals including UX designers, developers and testers.
You are expected to be independent, and sometimes team up with other BAs.
Responsibilities Include:
- Eliciting and analysing requirements from stakeholders
- Maintaining the highest level of requirements quality
- Using data and processes during analysis to clarify and validate requirements
- Defining acceptance criteria and monitoring user experience
- Assessing the change impact and developing transitional documentation
- Collaborating with developers and subject matter experts to determine the most appropriate technical solution and provide analysis on trade-offs between usability, functionality and performance needs
- Running ceremonies like backlog grooming, sprint planning, retros
Key requirements:
- 3+ years experience in an Agile Business Analyst role (or similar)
- Good technical knowledge to understand the right tools and techniques for BA activities, including JIRA and Confluence
- Good understanding of Agile Scrum & Kanban
- Understand technological concepts and able to weave them with business requirements to generate user stories in techno-functional detail
