Our client is an established utilities organisation, seeking a Technical Business Analyst to upgrade current applications/systems prior to their support ends by reviewing current state and complete the assessment of these systems.
Initial 6 months contract
Note: We have another Business Analyst role based in Perth, candidate must be based in Perth (no remote option available).
Key responsibilities include:
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their business requirements and performing analysis on software programs, applications, and web services.
- Review and analyse the effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems and develop strategies for improving or further leveraging these systems.
- Efficiently integrating new systems, programs, and applications with business operations and services.
- Promoting system efficiency and security by integrating performance metrics and encryption.
- Ensuring end-user proficiency with new systems, programs, and applications across departments.
- Meet with decision makers, systems owners, and end users to define business, financial, and operations requirements and systems goals and identify and resolve systems issues.
You must have:
- 3-5 years of experience as a Business Analyst in large projects ideally within the utilities sector.
- Experience in Integration tools (Boomi) and good understanding of databases (SQL/Oracle), Cloud (Azure)
- Wholesale Energy Market experience or Energy experience is mandatory.
- Experience in overseeing the design, development, and implementation of software and hardware solutions, systems, or products to meet the end user and other stakeholder requirements.
- Proven experience accurately and efficiently undertaking business and technical requirements analysis, elicitation, modelling, verification, including applying analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience working with software developers to develop user stories and prepare UAT plans.
