Position Overview: As a Technical Business Analyst specialising in Cloud Application Support, you will play a critical role in ensuring the stability, performance, and reliability of our financial applications. Leveraging your expertise in IT service management (ITSM), ITIL, and service delivery, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, analyse business processes, and implement solutions that align with our strategic objectives. Your strong documentation skills, coupled with a deep understanding of AWS, will enable you to drive continuous improvement initiatives and enhance the overall efficiency of our operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, analyse, and document business requirements related to Application Support and service delivery.
- Conduct thorough analysis of existing systems and processes to identify areas for improvement and optimisation.
- Work closely with development teams to translate business requirements into technical specifications and user stories.
- Utilise ITSM and ITIL best practices to design, implement, and maintain service management processes and procedures.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on AWS, providing guidance and expertise on cloud architecture, deployment strategies, and best practices.
- Monitor application performance and troubleshoot technical issues, ensuring timely resolution and minimal disruption to business operations.
- Develop comprehensive documentation, including functional specifications, process flows, and system diagrams.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful implementation of new applications and system enhancements.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of our Application Support processes.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- 2+ years of experience in a Technical Business Analyst role, with a focus on Application Support and service delivery.
- Strong knowledge and experience with ITSM, ITIL, and service management principles.
- Extensive experience working in the financial services or financial markets industry.
- Proficiency in AWS services and architecture, with hands-on experience in Cloud tooling.
- Excellent documentation skills, with the ability to create clear and concise technical documentation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to quickly identify and resolve technical issues.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Proven track record of driving continuous improvement initiatives and implementing best practices.
