Technical Delivery Specialist – Federal Government
Technical Delivery Specialists are required by a large Federal Government department on an initial 12-month contract with likely ongoing extensions.
Location: Brisbane, Canberra, Melbourne (Box Hill) or Penrith (On-site)
Minimum Baseline Clearance required, NV1 Clearance preferred
Hours: Monday – Friday, 40 hours per week
Contract Length: 12 months
Primary Purpose of the Role:
The Technical Delivery Specialist works with Program Managers and Release Train Engineers to oversee and manage end-to-end delivery of complex IT projects or programs in the branch and ensure delivery excellence.
Key Accountabilities:
- Developing complex strategies and action plans aligned to best practice that improve the delivery of IT system changes and business outcomes.
- Developing, planning, and leading continuous improvement strategies that supports effective and efficient operation of Agile Release Trains, including providing guidance on best practice and industry trends.
- Overseeing the quality of deliverables from delivery to implementation of contemporary complex IT technical solutions. This includes working across multiple delivery capabilities to ensure that changes meet the branch and organization’s quality standards.
- Supporting the Senior Accountable Officer, Senior Responsible Officer, and IT Program manager to resolve strategic and issues and risks for projects and programs delivered by multiple Agile Release Trains.
- Leads project delivery planning including reporting activities for the senior executive.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in Technical Delivery
- Comprehensive understanding of Agile delivery practices
- Outstanding stakeholder engagement & communication skills
- Demonstrated experience working in large, complex environments
- Minimum Baseline clearance
