Job Description
Our Contaminated Land & Remediation Practice is looking for an enthusiastic and proactive Technical Director to support us in delivering increasing project portfolios for our clients across Western Australia and the wider country across all sectors. You will be responsible for continuing to lead growth of our friendly and supportive Geoscience and Remediation Services (GRS) team - one the largest in the WA with an established track record in successfully delivering award winning contaminated land assessment and remediation works. As a director and senior member of our team, you will provide technical leadership, helping to drive the strategic development and continued growth of our business. Utilising your strong client relationships and significant experience in the industry, your focus will be on supporting business development, building the technical capability of our team, and maintaining the highest possible technical quality. To fill this role, you will be a team player with impeccable skills, knowledge and experience to take overall responsibility for the capture and delivery of projects, ensuring high technical quality and advice, whilst developing and maintaining strong client relationships that deliver repeat business as a “Trusted Advisor”. The role also has a strong focus to manage and mentor project staff to encourage career progression, maintain an encouraging environment, and empower colleagues.
What will a day in this role look like:
  • Leading a variety of small to large contaminated land and remediation projects for our top-tier private and public sector clients including global oil & gas companies, the mining industry, multinational corporations, regulatory bodies and government agencies.
  • Supporting other AECOM business lines on iconic multi-disciplined design, build and construction projects as a contaminated land and remediation interface.
  • Winning and delivering projects across Contaminated Sites investigation and remediation
  • Mentoring and training members of the GRS Team.
  • Lead input to team and client meetings, being prepared to own decisions and put forward alternative ideas and concepts.
  • Prepare and oversee fee bids and proposals to win work.
  • Provide oversight, technical leadership and verification of project deliverables.
  • Ensure rigorous adherence to AECOMs industry leading quality assurance program.
  • Join AECOM's technical practice groups (TPGs) to learn from other and share knowledge across the ANZ region.
  • Participate in local, national and international conferences.
Qualifications

What are we looking for from you?
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications
15 years relevant experience. * Demonstrated consulting experience in delivering a variety of contamination investigation and remediation scopes, with an in-depth understanding of regulatory requirements and track record of achieving reclassification of site under the Contaminated Sites Act 2003.
  • Demonstrated client management skills and growth of client portfolios.
  • Focus on technical excellence and service delivery.
