Role accountabilities:

• Proactively managing selected contaminated land and/or remediation projects or components of projects, taking responsibility for resource allocation, managing subcontractors, quality assurance and client feedback and ensuring effective communication of any changes/variations;
• Providing technical direction and on the job training to the team, leading by example to achieve sector goals and championing a quality, innovative, client-focused and entrepreneurial culture;
• Initiating and coordinating field activities which may include, drilling supervision, waste classification sampling, air sampling, validation sampling and groundwater sampling;
• Excellent technical report writing/report review skills to provide deliverables to the client expectations and needs;
• Communicating with team members such that they understand and become engaged with, sector/ discipline business plans;
• Developing team members to full potential;
• Client management, ensuring the delivery of high-quality products and to build existing client portfolios.
• Engage in Business Development initiatives and activities in targeted market sectors to assist in the strategic development of the business.

Qualifications & Experience:

• 15+ years working in contaminated land site assessment and remediation or equivalent experience;
• Experience in managing multiple and conflicting projects to achieve successful outcomes for our customers, our staff and the company;
• Extensive knowledge of relevant State and Federal Government legislation with particular reference to contaminated land and waste;
• Advanced technical knowledge, Project Management systems proficiency, skills and field experience consistent with the supervisory responsibilities of the position; and
• Tertiary education, preferably at post graduate level in a related discipline.
• Experience in business and client development.
