We are looking for a Technical Event Specialist to join the team and ensure the smooth delivery of in-person and hybrid events, providing comprehensive production support in logistics and operational Audio Visual services.
The position sits within the Production Business Unit and is offered on a full time basis, based in our Hawthorn East office.
In this role you will be responsible for:
• Pre-production of production services including virtual and on-site event preparation.
• Event logistics ensuring all events have their required equipment in good condition for delivery.
• IT maintenance and ongoing software support for event technology.
• Upkeep of broadcast centre facilities including support for offsite storage, interstate offices.
• Support the production manager in equipment life cycle processes (test / tag, inventories)
• Broadcast operations and AV support for in-person events.
• Operation of virtual events, including supervising contractors in the broadcast centre.
• Setup and support event technology on-site including broadcast technology, registration kiosks, speakers prep technology
• Liaising with clients and venues, providing advice and coordinating communications for production services.
• Top and tail editing and publishing of video on demand content from live events
To be successful in this role you will ideally meet the following criteria:
Essential:
• Tertiary qualifications in Audio Visual Production, Video Production or other related disciplines, or demonstrated experience in the operation of technology for live and virtual events.
• Minimum 2 year’s experience in the technical delivery of events, be it live, virtual or comabination of both.
• Experience coordinating event logistics including prepping and packing equipment.
• Capacity to trouble shoot basic audio-visual equipment and escalate problems effectively.
• Proficient in the understanding of signal flow, and capacity to problem solve through first principles.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and competing deadlines with demonstrated learning/change agility.
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong organisational and planning skills.
Desirable
• Creative video skills, including camera operation, graphic design, basic animation
• Experience maintaining basic IT systems including scheduled updates, and configurations.
