About the team
Reporting to the Delivery Manager of Integration, you will be joining a fast-paced team of software engineers and operate in an agile environment. This team's mission is to build bridges between the different tooling, infrastructure & business services that power Coles. Our brands rely on this seamless integration to serve over 21 million customers at over 2,500 outlets around Australia every day.
About the role
This role sits with our Integration team squad, responsible to ensure engineering standards are met in the team, accountable for the technical design. Managing technical risks and ensuring non-functional requirements are met. You will be leading a pack of software engineers who are solving some of the hardest problems using backend server technologies.
You will have a strong background in building & deploying to enterprise-grade cloud-enabled solutions to production which are functional, scalable, resilient and performant meeting business non-functional requirements.
About you & your skills:
- Proven experience leading software development teams /squads at a complex enterprise level;
- Proven experience in software development:
- Strong development skills including:
- Languages: Java, Python, NodeJS
- Devops pipeline and process development
- Experience with on-premises and cloud deployments
- Basic knowledge of Infrastructure as Code tooling such as Terraform
- Strong experience rolling out complex reusable pattern into cloud environments.
- Knowledge of distributed computing, web services, API, integration technologies, networking, protocols and design patterns
- Strong experience with engineering practices, including:
- Packaging, provisioning, configuration as code, logging and monitoring
- Source code management
- Continuous integration
- Automation: build, test, and deploy
- Proven experience with Agile development and working with Agile Teams
- Experience with containerisation technologies like Docker, Kubernetes and AKS
- Strong understanding of Agile development;
- Hands on experience implementing complex solutions using multiple frameworks;
- Understanding of contemporary integration patterns and techniques; and
- Relevant qualifications or experience in the core technology stack
- Experience in Azure DevOps, APIM and Git practices
- Azure Integration Services development experience (ADF, Service Bus etc.)
- SAP Integration Experience
- Boomi Integration experience is required
