The role will have responsibility to manage and provide leadership of the audit, compliance and risk functions within the Platforms Tax and Accounting Services (Platforms TAS) team. This includes co-ordination and monitoring of audit and compliance activities across Platforms TAS, ensuring Platforms TAS maintains a strong control environment, undertaking first line testing of TAS key controls, maintaining TAS policies, researching and assisting with technical issues and projects as well as helping to coordinate training and development within TAS Platforms.
Accountabilities Include.
- Overall compliance, risk and audit management and monitoring for TAS Platforms team. This includes:
- Manage internal and external audit activities, including provision, collation and review of audit requests
- Management of all incident activities, including co-ordination of meetings, preparation of documentation and updating of incident management systems
- Co-ordinating and undertaking annual control self-assessments and monthly reviews of all key controls
- Co-ordinating and reviewing monthly compliance sign offs
- Co-ordinating and updating of work instructions and policy documents
- Co-ordinating TAS Platforms technical training programme to ensure it meets staff development needs, including preparation and presentation of compliance training
- Providing technical assistance to the TAS Platforms team on technical matters (tax, accounting and other technical) impacting the team
- Identification and implementation of process improvements to ensure the team maintain a strong control environment
- Engage with various Project teams in relation to all project changes that impact the TAS Platforms team, including implementing applicable project changes into the team and ensuring appropriate reviews and sign offs are conducted
- Implement and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders across Tax and Accounting Services, Service and Operations, Product, Risk and Project teams as required
- Assist and act as a back-up to other TAS Platforms managers where required (e.g. peak periods and extended leave periods)

What do I need?
To be successful you will have the following:
Essential
- Accounting Degree, CA / CPA Qualification
- Audit or risk and compliance experience - 5+ years
- Risk management skills - lines of defence, Control Self-Assessment and incident management
- Relevant industry experience, preferably in an audit or business services environment, or within the financial services industry
- Demonstrated experience in enhancing the risk and compliance culture in an organisation
- Strong written communication skills
- Accounting and tax knowledge
- Intermediate Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Financial services knowledge (highly desirable)
- Experience in identifying and implementing continuous process improvement
- Experience in driving change management
- Ethical decision making and judgement.
- Leads risk management.
- Delivering outcomes. Good time management, ability to work independently and willingness to work additional hours as required, particularly during month and year end periods.

- Strong analytical, judgement and decision-making skills
- Written and verbal communication skills - including the ability to interact professionally at a senior level within the business
