About the role We are seeking an individual who is highly motivated to become part of a passionate and engaged team. Your key responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, the following: Processing of specimens including culturing – urines, swabs (various sites),? faeces and??
Preparation of smears for gram stain, reading of gram-stained slides? Microscopy of cells in fluids, urines? Identification of crystals?
Using analysers for urine microscopy and dipstick chemistry? Using analyser for occult blood determination? About you To be considered for this position, you will need to have a great blend of skills, including: A relevant Science degree/Technical qualification obtained from a recognised Australian institution.
(AIMS recognised tertiary institution). Be able to work a 7 day rotating roster as well as participating in an on-call roster. A Current NSW Drivers Licence Ability to communicate effectively with team members and other departments both verbally and written.
Self-motivation and the ability to work within a team. High level of attention to detail. Ability to work under pressure.
Ability to demonstrate sound organisation skills. A professional attitude towards confidentiality. Ability to understand and ensure compliance with WH&S policies and guidelines.
