The role:

As a Technical Sales Consultant at Aspect Furniture, you will play a pivotal role in developing and securing new business opportunities with architects, interior designers, commercial developers, and major contractors. 

Key responsibilities:

  • Respond to sales enquires, tenders and proposals with new and existing customers
  • Create detailed sales presentations that display product solutions that match customer needs
  • Collaborate with designers, estimators and commercial teams to develop quotes and commercial contracts
  • Provide technical product information to clients and educated key decision-makers on the features and benefits of the product
  • Work closely with the Business Development Manager to formulate sales strategies to create and develop new business opportunities within new and existing accounts 
  • Develop strong professional relationships with key decision-makers in the commercial fit-out and interior design space
  • Develop, plan and execute sales and marketing strategies that generate new business opportunities
  • Conduct market research to identify trends, competitor activities, and potential growth areas
  • Maintain the CRM system and review customer data regularly to identify new opportunities
  • Attend industry events and promote company brand and product solutions
  • Accurately forecast monthly, quarterly and annual revenue and sales opportunities
  • Work closely with the business development manager to negotiate and close deals to achieve sales targets and business objectives
  • Work with the sales and marketing teams and wider business divisions to drive initiatives that enhance business opportunities and market presence 
  • Create strong long-term partnerships with clients by providing exceptional support and service 

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Technical Sales Consultant, preferably selling specified or technical products or furniture to architects, interior designers, commercial developers, and major contractors. 
  • Exceptional time management and organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple opportunities simultaneously
  • A strategic mindset with the ability to balance short-term needs with long-term vision
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present information in a clear and concise manner
  • Ability to negotiate commercial contracts
  • Customer-focused mindset with the ability to identify their current and future needs
