About the role
The Technical Officer works alongside one other Technical Officer and a Senior Technical Officer. The roles contribute to the success of the City by supporting the implementation of the City's traffic and parking programs.
The role accountabilities will include:
Issue of Permits for temporary traffic management works on Council Road Reserves.
Issue of Parking Exemption Permits, and Policy Development / Trouble Shooting on Residential Parking Permits.
Investigation of On Street Parking Signage Change Requests, General Road Safety and Regulatory Signage Requests.
Internal and External Traffic Engineering Review for Delegate Approval of Traffic Management Schemes.
Data collection and support in travel demand initiatives.

About you
To be successful in this role, you will be an enthusiastic, highly motivated, team player with a current Driver Licence. Training will be provided on the job, so you will need a can do attitude and ability to acquire new skills.
It is also desirable that you have Traffic Management qualifications, however this is not essential.
