Reporting to the Associate Director – Frontline Technology, the role of Technical Product Owner will take our customer experience from best to obsessed, this role will drive the delivery of consistently outstanding frontline and customer experiences. The role will be working within a fast-paced agile environment in Optus’ Frontline Tribe and be at the frontier of driving innovation, resilience and user experience at Optus.

The Frontline Technology Tribe is driven by understanding how technology can support amazing CX for our Consumer channels, utilising analytics and deep channel insights to deliver outstanding experiences for our people every day. We apply the best methodology in the solutions we produce, underpinned by a robust security foundation and alignment to our engineering principles.

By considering the best experience for both our frontline amazing people such as Contact Centre, and our valuable customers, you will contribute to strategic execution of the Frontline Technology roadmap for their domain and strive to maximise NPS, engineering outcomes and business benefits.

Your day in the life of a Technical Product Owner - Frontline Technologyat Optus

  • Lead Frontline Technology product and feature development for their domain and ensure broader alignment with Group IT, Optus Digital, Service and Sales strategy.
  • Pilot a roadmap of allocated initiatives to deliver business and customer value, delivering in accordance with standard agile methodology, as well as traditional waterfall methods where required.
  • Stewardship and prioritisation of Frontline products and platforms for their domain, including defining and measuring KPIs for their platforms and products.
  • Provide quarterly business review input of the Frontline Technology Portfolio and ensure committed AOP and Transformation Office benefits are achieved
  • Drive thought leadership with both a technical and traditional product management approach, to deliver world class technology experiences for Optus Consumer channels.
  • Influence and drive collaboration across various functions to promote a frontline people first ethos for their domain, including collecting feedback and insights to advise product development and prioritisation.
